STONE LANE GARDENS - WINTER WONDER AMONG THE BEAUTIFUL BIRCH TREES AND VOLUNTEER WITH US

Open every day all year round, Stone Lane Gardens, a small friendly conservation charity near Chagford, is urgently seeking volunteers to help in the office.

Our mission is to conserve birch and alder trees by promoting, researching, propagating and displaying our National Collection in a beautiful arboretum to educate and inform the public, alongside an educational display of high quality art in a natural setting. The charity is run by volunteer Trustees and we have regular volunteer groups working in the garden

Currently, we have two office posts that need filling as soon as possible. One is for a Book-keeper/ administrator, which would suit a retired book-keeper with knowledge of the software ‘ VT transactions’ and PAYE would be helpful. Half a day a week would be ideal for the book-keeping and optionally an additional half-day or more for administration. Also, we have need of a Social Media and Website Volunteer. We need to keep our website up to date and promote the work of the charity on our facebook page and any other social media that you would like to use. There is also the potential to be creative with photography. You can work from home or from our office on a half a day per week basis.
