Manaton’s annual Show and Fair is on Saturday 10th August and takes place on the local cricket pitch, by the fifteenth-century Church and tree-lined village green, within sight of the stunning open moorland of Hayne Down and Hound Tor. The show has everything that you would expect from a traditional small country show and a lot more besides:
Plant and cake stalls • Children’s races • Dog agility display • Cream teas • Devon crafts stalls • Punch & Judy • Artisan food stalls • Classic cars • Fun dog show • Lost Coyotes band • Vintage bric-a-brac • Horticultural Show • Coconut shy • Book stall • Newton Bushel Morris Dancers • Burgers and beer • Dartmoor hawking • Icecream •
