JOIN BOVEY TRACEY LAWN TENNIS CLUB
Interested in learning to play tennis or maybe you already play? We welcome all standards at Bovey Tracey Lawn Tennis Club, at the Recreation Ground alongside the Bowling and Cricket Clubs. This Club is thriving with three all-weather, flood-lit courts, and a clubhouse with facilities.
Ryan Bougourd, our well-qualified Club Coach, runs coaching schemes for all ages from 4 year olds upwards; the after-school and Saturday morning group sessions for the children are very popular. He organises internal tournaments for the children paving the way to national tournaments and the Road toWimbledon. For adults, he runs weekly beginners and cardio-tennis sessions, group and team coaching, and individual one-to-one lessons too.
Through Ryan’s work with all ages and standards, we are aspiring to gain Club Mark from the Lawn Tennis Association making Bovey Tracey Tennis Club the only Club in the area with this accreditation and giving the Club access to funding for improvements.
We have two men’s teams and a ladies’ team in theExeterand District League, and a mixed team in the South Devon League and are always looking for new team members.
We run Club evenings on Monday and Thursday evenings for older children and adults; just turn up at 7pm and play with whoever is there. During the season we hold three fun tournaments providing the opportunity for all members to get together.
Once you become a member you will be given the entry code number so you can go along and play whenever you like apart from when the courts are being used for group coaching, Club nights and match nights, details of which are displayed on the Club noticeboard.
The Club offers various annual memberships running from April –
Adult £88, senior citizen £82, student £35, Junior 12-16 years £33, Juniors under 12 £31, Family £185, with a small joining fee for adults of £10.
