Bovey Tracey Tourist Information Centre - We want your views!

The Information centre opened on the 1st April thanks to all the volunteers who staff the centre during opening times and allow us to open. We struggled to keep the centre open during the winter on the Saturdays when we opened against the cold. We opened over the winter to allow you and the few out of season visitors who are around to benefit from the wealth of information that we hold. We would like your views - should we open next winter or just have a big notice board on the front of the centre with upcoming events? Contact Rachel - details below.
We are looking over the next 6 months to more visitors than we had last year (17,500) what with a weak pound encouraging foreign visitors to holiday in UK and making it expensive to go abroad. We have a new Town map which will be available and we will be promoting this along with local events and local walks. We are also looking to revamp the information element of the website in conjunction with the Town Council so that it carries events and local attractions. Any ideas or suggestions as to what you would like to see would be most welcome!

We are reliant on all the groups in Bovey to provide us with their events and hope they will do this- Please write to Tourist Information Centre, Station Road Car Park, Bovey Tracey TQ13 9AW or just drop a copy of your events/programme into the Information centre. We will be delighted to promote any event and add it to this list and display it in The Tourist Information Centre if it is a community event.
