KEEP FIT KEEP SWIMMING. Did you know that 30 minutes of exercise in the pool is the same as 45 minutes on land? Water provides resistance which improves muscle strength but water buoyancy reduces stress on joints. An individuals weight in the water is only about 10% of normal weight. Swimming is also an excellent form of aerobic exercise which increases cardiovascular function.
