Local Lustleigh girl Jo Harman's music career goes from strength to strength...

Thu 22 Nov 2012

...with her first European outings announced as being two 'marquee' support slots this week to a total of 10,000 capacity venues for huge concert promoters, Live Nation.

More than that, Jo has also been included in 'Top 5 UK Blues Acts', as chosen by respected blues editor Ed Mitchell, in a feature in BA HIgh Life magazine, with a worldwide circulation of 3million people. Jo has also been announced as top of bill main headline act for Hebden Bridge Festival (voted UKbest blues festival), cementing Jo's reputation as the Uk's hottest act in that field right now.

A number of prestigious European Festivals are already secured for 2013, with more announcements to follow. European agency Bepop, who helped launch Joe Bonamassa's career, have made Jo a priority artist and described Jo as a 'superstar in the making'. Not bad for a singer still to release her debut studio album, currently in development and scheduled for early 2013 release.

All this activity and attention threatens to prevent Jo, whose mother still lives in the village, from returning to do a local spring home town gig in 2013, something she has been able to for the last two years. 'Even though May looks to be taken up with European commitments, I really hope to get to play in Lustleigh again this year - maybe late Summer, if not before' said Jo, whose debut single 'Worthy of Love' is out now, details from www.joharman.com'
